Numerical Simulation for the Dynamic Response of Step Topography Subjected to Blasting Load

Abstract The vibration velocity and frequency of rock mass are closely related to the instability failure building. step topography has great influence on blasting wave propagation. Therefore, it is significance study dynamic response subjected load. In this paper, FLAC2D program used plane strain mode adopted in calculation, load assumed be a triangular pulse which applied one side calculating mode. amplification effect height first studied. calculation result shows that factor increases then decreases with increase height. maximum value consistent results field test, indicates feasibility numerical simulation.
